Details and specs
The Flydigi Apex 5 is a high-end controller packed with features. Its motorised adaptive triggers push back in supported games, the stick tension is adjustable, and a small built-in screen lets you change settings on the controller itself. It’s also very fast: one review measured about 3 ms of lag wired and 5 ms on the dongle.
All that hardware makes it heavy, at roughly 335–345 g. The gyro aiming is jittery, so it’s weak for shooters that rely on motion aim, and the rubber grips can discolour over time. It works with PC, Switch, Android and iOS, but not with Xbox or PlayStation consoles.
- Hall-effect sticks with adjustable tension, Hall-effect triggers
- Motorised adaptive triggers
- Built-in screen and RGB lighting
- Six programmable buttons and detachable back paddles
- USB-C cable, Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz dongle
- 1500 mAh battery, about 20 hours (maker’s figure)
