Details and specs

The 8BitDo Ultimate 2C is a cheap controller with Hall-effect sticks and triggers, which shouldn’t develop stick drift. It has two extra remappable shoulder buttons (L4/R4), and one review got about 14–15 hours per charge.

It’s sold in two versions, so check which one the listing is. The 2C Wireless connects with a 2.4 GHz dongle or a cable and is meant for PC and Android. The 2C Bluetooth has no dongle, connects over Bluetooth or a cable, works with Nintendo Switch and adds motion controls.

The D-pad is its weak spot: it can feel mushy, and one review saw stray inputs. There’s no NFC for amiibo, and the plastic feels budget.

  • Hall-effect sticks and triggers
  • Remappable L4/R4 shoulder buttons
  • 2C Wireless: 2.4 GHz dongle and USB-C cable (PC, Android)
  • 2C Bluetooth: Bluetooth and USB-C cable (Switch, PC, phones), with motion controls
