Anbernic RG SP
Slim GBA SP-style clamshell for Game Boy and 8/16-bit games

- Plays Game Boy, GBC and GBA without issues, plus NES, SNES and Genesis
- Four colors and HDMI output for a TV
- Light, about 168 g
Cons
- No analog sticks, so N64, PSP and other 3D games are poor

Details and specs
The Anbernic RG SP is the 2026 version of Anbernic’s Game Boy Advance SP-style clamshell: a slim, light flip handheld with a 3.4-inch screen, a D-pad and face buttons, and no analog sticks. Anbernic lists it from $64.99 for the 16 GB version.
It runs Game Boy, Game Boy Color and GBA games without trouble, and NES, SNES and Genesis reliably. Retro Handhelds calls it great up to PS1 and PSP, with some N64 and Dreamcast, but notes some games are too demanding for 1 GB of RAM, and that it is much the same as the many other H700 handhelds. Pick it for the shape and the screen rather than raw power. The price here is the listing we link; official pricing is lower for the 16 GB version.
