Details and specs
The Fosi Audio K5 Pro is a small desktop DAC and headphone amp aimed at gaming. A wired headset plugs into the front, with separate headphone and mic jacks, and it connects to a PC, Mac, PS5 or Switch over USB, or takes optical and coaxial input from a TV or console. Knobs on the front set the volume, bass and treble, and the RCA outputs on the back can feed powered speakers. It runs from a 5 V USB-C supply.
There’s no gain switch, and reviewers hear hiss with sensitive earphones at higher volume; it suits full-size headsets better. One reviewer’s first unit failed to work on a PS4 and didn’t detect their mic, and the replacement’s optical input didn’t work, while the same reviewer found it quieter than its power rating suggests. Fosi doesn’t list Xbox among supported devices.
