Details and specs
The Moondrop Golden Ages II is a true wireless stereo (TWS) in-ear monitor engineered around planar magnetic acoustic transducers. Serving as the generational successor to the original Golden Ages, the II model incorporates Moondrop’s patented 13 mm full-frequency super-linear annular planar magnetic driver. Driven by an array of high-grade N55 neodymium magnets and an annular dual-suspension diaphragm, the planar transducer operates with an ultra-low non-linear distortion profile (≤0.05%), rendering delicate instrument decay, rapid acoustic transients, and expansive micro-detail across the frequency band.
Powered by a custom 22 nm TWS SoC chip with high analog output power (25 mW + 25 mW) and a 106 dB signal-to-noise ratio, the Golden Ages II runs on modern Bluetooth 6.0 wireless architecture. It supports high-bitrate streaming over Sony LDAC, Savitech LHDC 5.0, and LE Audio LC3, alongside standard AAC and SBC protocols. An onboard 6-axis gyroscope sensor powers dynamic 3D spatial audio with real-time head tracking, configurable through the Moondrop Link 2.0 app alongside second-generation parametric EQ (PEQ) profiles and a 55 ms low-latency gaming mode. Wide-band feedforward active noise cancellation attenuates ambient urban rumble without compressing the planar driver’s natural bass response.
The aesthetic pays homage to vintage tape players with a retro-cassette charging case finished in matte grey and bundled with a tailored frosted suede protective sleeve. Battery capacity provides approximately 8 hours of playback per charge (under AAC), reaching 24 hours total via the pocket case, which supports both USB Type-C and Qi wireless charging.
