Cons

Dry, slightly brittle sound that suits vocals and warm music less
Modest bass quantity
The bundled USB-C dongle is decent but not powerful, and tuning means picking a preset

The SIMGOT EG280 is a gaming-focused earphone from 2026 with a 10 mm dynamic driver and a small annular planar tweeter in each earpiece, sold with a USB-C dongle that has gaming sound presets. It’s meant for FPS and MOBA games first, and music second.

Reviewers praise the open soundstage, precise imaging and fast, detailed treble, and say the bass is tight though modest. For music it’s less loved: the sound is crisp and dry, the mids can sound thin, and the treble can get sharp on harsh recordings. IEM Ranking’s average of eight expert reviews puts it in a middle tier, as a good first gaming IEM rather than an all-rounder. Check the listing’s variant before buying: this one is the plain earphone listing, and the dongle, microphone and 3.5 mm or USB-C versions vary by seller.
