Details and specs
The KZ EDZ is a collector’s edition in-ear monitor from Knowledge Zenith, designed as the culminating finale to the brand’s long-running, best-selling EDX series. Building on iterations from the original EDX, EDX Pro, and EDX Pro 2, the EDZ introduces a newly developed ultra-wideband, long-excursion dynamic driver capable of reaching an expansive 7 Hz to 45,000 Hz frequency response. This acoustic setup delivers deep, impactful sub-bass punch and rapid transient response without congesting the midrange.
To resolve the sharp treble sibilance that challenged earlier ultra-budget models, KZ integrated a dual-stage damping system consisting of an internal nozzle tuning damper paired with a protective metal acoustic filter. This mechanical filtering smoothens high-frequency extension, rendering vocals and cymbals with cleaner definition. The earpieces feature skin-friendly transparent resin cavities finished with gold-trimmed metal faceplate inlays, and connect through a detachable 0.75 mm 2-pin silver-plated dual-parallel cable terminating in a 3.5 mm jack. With a 24 Ω impedance and 107 dB/mW sensitivity, the EDZ drives cleanly and reaches full dynamic volume straight from smartphones, laptops, and game controllers.
