KZ Decet
Ten-driver dynamic earphones with five dynamic drivers per side
Pros
- Ambitious 10-driver acoustic setup featuring five dynamic drivers per side in a dual-sided array
- Dual 8 mm internal-magnetic drivers produce deep, physical sub-bass rumble and impact
- Three 6 mm dynamic drivers deliver clear midrange vocals and extended treble sparkle
- Integrated three-way electronic crossover prevents acoustic distortion and driver masking
- Zinc alloy faceplates with mechanical bolt detailing and 3D-printed acoustic cavity
Cons
- Substantial shell volume needed to house five dynamic drivers may feel bulky in smaller ears
- Energetic V-shaped sound signature emphasizes bass slam over flat studio neutrality
- Recessed 0.75 mm 2-pin connector limits third-party cable swaps to QDC-style plugs

Details and specs
The KZ Decet is a multi-driver in-ear monitor designed around a ten-driver all-dynamic acoustic engine—packing five discrete dynamic drivers into each earpiece. Rather than relying on balanced armatures for higher registers, KZ developed a dual-sided array of specialized dynamic drivers: two 8 mm ultra-wideband internal-magnetic drivers dedicated to low-frequency slam, accompanied by three 6 mm high-performance internal-magnetic drivers calibrated for midrange texture and high-frequency extension.
By utilizing dynamic drivers across the entire frequency spectrum, the Decet achieves a uniform acoustic timbre and substantial dynamic headroom, avoiding the metallic treble artifacts sometimes found in entry-level balanced armature hybrids. An on-board three-way electronic crossover board routes frequencies through independent acoustic channels inside the high-precision 3D-printed resin chamber, ensuring that deep sub-bass rumble does not bleed into the vocal range. The shells are capped with sculpted zinc alloy faceplates secured with exposed hardware, complemented by a detachable 0.75 mm 2-pin silver-plated cable and slow-rebound memory foam ear tips.
- Ten-driver all-dynamic configuration: 5 dynamic drivers per side (10 drivers total)
- Dual 8 mm ultra-wideband internal magnetic dynamic drivers for sub-bass and mid-bass
- Triple 6 mm high-performance dynamic drivers for articulate midrange and detailed highs
- Dedicated 3-way electronic crossover circuit and independent sound output channels
- Frequency response 20 Hz to 40,000 Hz
- Impedance 15 Ω (Standard version) / 17 Ω (Tuning version), sensitivity 102–105 dB
- Robust zinc alloy faceplates with high-precision 3D-printed resin cavities
- Detachable 0.75 mm 2-pin silver-plated cable (1.2 m) with 3.5 mm gold-plated plug
- Released early 2025
